Kerry has been involved in working in the community sector for over 30 years and joined the Connect You Too team in 2020. Having previously worked in aged care services, the NDIS and community development, her skills and experience are being used to create a modern and progressive transport service to meet the growing needs of our communities. She believes transport is a vital link for people to keep well, as well as supporting their social needs. Kerry’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Diplomas of Management, Business and Auditing.
Ray Chesher was appointed to the Board in 2013. He brings over 24 years of valuable knowledge in the disabilities sector as former Finance Manager at Caringa Enterprises Ltd, as well as vital financial skills as a Chartered Accountant. Ray’s qualifications include Accounting Certificate, Diploma of Management and Certificate IV in Disabilities. His interests include golf, cricket, soccer, rugby league, basketball and horse racing. He is a current Director of both DAISI Services Ltd and Clarence Valley Home Modification & Maintenance Service Incorporated (CVHMMS). Ray is keen to continue giving back to the community in which he lives. He brings his wealth of management and board experience to the Connect You Too team and is a Justice of the Peace.
Bob Little was appointed to the Board in 2015 and became Secretary the following year. Bob is actively involved in a variety of community organisations, as President of both the Chamber of Commerce and Clarence River Tourist Association, as well as being an active member of the Police Accountability Community Team, Clarence Ahead and the Big River Sailing Club. This readiness to contribute to the community is why he is on the Board of ConnectU2. He brings the very relevant skills of business management and board experience and is a Justice of the Peace.
Paula became a Board member in 2020 as she wanted to give back to the community in which she lives. She brings the valuable skills of effective communication and advocacy to her role. Paula is a registered nurse with experience working in hospital and community health settings supporting drug and alcohol patients to reintegrate into the community after being in custody. She has held roles in Grafton Base Hospital and with Justice Health over the past 28 years. Paula more recently held a Nursing Unit Manager role at Acmena for three years, gaining further experience liaising with Government agencies, and community and health services to improve patient outcomes.
Peter joined the Board in 2020 bringing a wealth of experience in transport and logistics. He has had a broad and successful career as manager in the Wood Group, Laminex Group and Southcorp Packaging Group. This together with more recent work for the Red Cross and as a charter bus driver for Panorama Coach and Buslines in Melbourne, ensure that Peter is a valuable member of the Board. Considered to be both an innovative and resourceful leader with excellent communication and people skills he is keen to make a genuine contribution to the company and help it to grow.
David joined the Board in 2023 and brings a wealth of experience in marketing, encompassing real estate and shopping centre industries. He is actively involved in various community organisations.
He has been a member of Hallidays Point Lions Club and Great Lakes Historic Vehicle Club and member of both Taree & Standard Triumph car clubs of NSW.
David has also volunteered for Meals on Wheels Forster and Mid Coast Assist, transporting clients on outings, assisting with weekly Dementia Groups and taking clients on weekly shopping trips and to medical appointments.
Since moving to Yamba, David volunteers for Meals on Wheels and the Yamba Museum and joined Yamba Lions and NSOA in Grafton.
Michael joined the Board in 2023. He brings valuable experience from his work with the Department of Community Justice, looking after child protection and investigating abuse of children. He is originally from Scotland, and although not a local, he has been in Maclean for 20 years. He was originally a stone mason. He is a union rep and enjoys the robust discussion it brings. He likes giving back to the community.
Garry joined the Board in November 2023. Garry has a Bachelor of Arts - Diploma of Education and taught at high schools in NSW before establishing his own company in educational resources. Garry retired to Yamba with his wife and enjoys travelling, skiing, golf and bike riding. Garry is very interested in being apart of the Connect You Too Board to contribute and assist those in need in our community.
